Confluence

Various public spaces converge in the project zone. Roads, squares and cycle paths are flanked by precisely positioned buildings. These buildings provide facades that form squares and give direction to paths. Lines of sight are strengthened and routes are given a destination.

A building with slightly pitched roofs and a spacious inner courtyard fits in with this environment. Four modestly rising buildings are arranged along a gently curving road. On the street, the volumes are taller and protect the ground-level homes and sun-facing gardens behind them.

The project provides space for a programme that is not or hardly available in the area and in this way enriches the neighbourhood: a community hall, a collective courtyard, affordable starter homes and a day-care centre.
